What is Mana Lomi?

Mana Lomi literally translates as “Hawaiian Spiritual Massage.” Lomi or Lomilomi describes a concept that involves the movement of energy. With the right understanding and training, the practitioner can communicate through the soft tissues of the body, deep into the bones of the individual.  The Mana Lomi technique is based on Hawaiian concepts of working with the”mana” of the body, mind, and soul of an individual.

The student clinic at the Aloha Lomi Massage Academy provides an opportunity for students to master the therapeutic massage techniques they are learning in class while developing business and communication skills that will be vital in their careers as massage therapists, all in a context of service to the community.
